Viagogo is a global resale marketplace, now part of the same group as StubHub, with a particularly strong presence in Europe, Asia-Pacific and Latin America. For events outside North America it is often the marketplace with the most listings, and for international fans travelling to a show it may be the only large English-language option.
Its reputation is more mixed than its sibling's. Viagogo has faced regulatory action in several countries over fee disclosure and pressure-selling tactics, and some artists and venues have refused entry to tickets bought there. Buyer fees are among the highest in the industry. It carries a guarantee of valid tickets or replacement/refund, but we score it lower on trust than other major marketplaces and recommend checking the event's own resale policy before buying.
Things to watch for
- High buyer fees; historically added late in checkout.
- Some promoters refuse entry to Viagogo-resold tickets — check the event's resale policy.
- Countdown timers and "only X left" prompts are sales pressure, not information.
